I am a freelance illustrator for several markets including editorial, greeting cards, licensing and entertainment. I’m also Professor and Chair of Illustration at Cleveland Institute of Art.
I worked for 10 years at both the Walt Disney Animation Studio and Disney Consumer Products in Burbank California. I was an animation assistant on the feature films Hercules, Mulan and Tarzan, then the Supervising Character Artist for the Winnie the Pooh team.
I left southern California to work for American Greetings in their licensing, alternative humor and entertainment departments. While at AG, I helped develop the visual brand and illustration styles of several greeting card lines as well as create the animated sci-fi comedy “Packages from Planet X," which aired on Disney XD in 2013. I also created the concept for the animated comedy "Boy, Girl, Dog, Cat, Mouse, Cheese," set to air on the CBBC and Gulli networks as well as in France.
I currently live in Northeast Ohio with my wonderful wife and three amazing daughters.
